My name is Tanya, and I’m from the South of France. Thanks to Preeti and Innustame, I achieved my dream of studying physiotherapy at the University of Pécs in Hungary. Preeti’s guidance truly supported me. I couldn’t be more grateful. Innustame brings hope through really looking at the world in all its unique contexts.  We all deserve to be happy in what we are doing in this world and I was able to learn, apply and now start my life in the lovely town of  Pécs. We all deserve to see and be happy in this world as we learn in diverse contexts, meet new friends and think about our future.

We made a lot of significant changes in our original university plan from the courses we were interested in, to the region where we wanted to study. Preeti supported us and our parents in each step of the way :) She helped us to find the university that was the best fit for us taking into account our academic interests, financial capability, and personalities. Before I first talked to Preeti, I thought it was impossible for me to merge my passions for film and politics without paying a fortune at university. With her guidance, I was able to narrow down a list of schools that not only managed to fit my academic and personal interests but also provide me with a substantial enough scholarship. Had it not been for Preeti, I doubt I would have postponed my American dream in order to pursue a life and education in Doha, Qatar where I get the best of both worlds. Being here now, I can’t help but think of how Preeti was able to assess my needs and almost immediately come up with options that best fit my situation.

Preeti is a dedicated counselor who encouraged me to look beyond universities in the United States, even though it is my home country. Her guidance in encouraging me to look at schools in The Netherlands proved vital in my final decision to attend Leiden University College which has been a rewarding decision. She has a deep understanding of the kind of environment each individual would flourish in as she cares deeply about each student she works with. Likewise, her plethora of knowledge about many different universities, including those outside of the Global North, allows for more holistic, personal, and informed guidance along the university application process. Preeti challenges the notions of a "good higher education" confined to one country or one continent which expanded my perception of the world and my place within it.

Preeti Rajendran is an experienced education counsellor with extensive knowledge about university application procedures across the world. One thing that sets her apart is her global outlook which has helped students get some of the finest opportunities for education and scholarship in different parts of the world. Through her guidance, I was admitted to one of the most innovative educational institutions on a full scholarship, which will grant a strong global experience as well as a well-recognised degree by a ‘Top-10’ college. Her work is characterised by an informed guidance process and she spends time to carefully understand each student and their future ambitions. Her guidance is personal and fits the needs and circumstances of each student. Preeti has not been only my counselor but also my mentor for the past 3 years. She supported me by all the means to secure a full scholarship in the US in 2018, and she stood by my side after Trump's Travel Ban on Syrians happened and I lost that very same scholarship. Preeti made it her mission to help me find another university that can both nurture my education and offer me a full scholarship. Sounds like a mission impossible for a person with a Syrian passport? Well, Preeti guided me through it all, and it's because of her that right now I am able to pursue my Journalism degree at Northwestern University at the branch campus in Qatar.

Preeti Rajendran is a gifted guidance counselor with an ability to engage effectively and professionally.  Her ability to conduct in-depth research and efficiently use it to provide necessary guidance in relation to student needs is something that stood out to me and was extremely valuable for the student body in general. In addition to this, Preeti is a patient and thorough guidance counselor who makes sure that every student need has been addressed properly. I am happy to recommend her due to her aforementioned ability to work effectively and professionally as a University Guidance Counselor.

Walking to campus over a bridge surrounded by Irish green hills and rare flora and fauna or meeting immigration officers teaching you irish slang as you get your passport stamped and learning subjects you love at a decent tuition cost is something you cannot say no to!" Choosing to study in a university outside of the US and UK is still uncommon but, once you go ahead with the decision, it’s something you will not look back on. Although I was a little hesitant to apply to an atypical study location in high school, it wasn’t because I ever doubted the quality of education offered but because I lacked guidance from others who had made a similar choice but Preeti acted as an integral guiding force during this time. She continuously reinforced the fact that the university experience is much more than just learning in a classroom environment or about ranking, it's about social inclusion, healthy politics and opportunity for an international student. It’s about integrating and learning in a new space. I am extremely satisfied with my university experience so far. I encourage you to take the step without having any second thoughts, just like Preeti did for me.

Preeti has really perfected what it means to be a university guidance counselor. Over the two years that she has tirelessly helped me with my university decisions and beyond. The advice and support I have received have been life-changing. I haven’t come across anyone with as much knowledge as Preeti in thinking both inside and outside the box as far as university options are concerned. She has been extremely encouraging and supportive in my choices of university and helped me eventually choose Tilburg University in the Netherlands for my undergraduate studies. She has been there for me in person and in online sessions. Lastly, if you do have the opportunity to work with Preeti, you will find that she is fully capable of support and advising anyone even outside the university bubble, as she genuinely cares about her students, and is really passionate in helping them be the best she knows they can be, whether in their education or their lives.

When I returned to school in DP2 after a challenging initial year of IB, I had 2 priorities with regards to universities. Firstly, I wanted a highly ranked university and secondly, I wanted to go somewhere new (and somewhere warm). Over the coming months, I stormed into Preeti’s office on a weekly basis with my heart set on a new destination. As with all my peers, Preeti developed a friendship with me and realized, maybe before I did, that what I really needed, was a fun and stimulating work environment. However, caught up in the stress that most students experience when applying to university, I was set on applying to the most studious institutions I could find. Mothering me through the process, Preeti helped me to filter between which universities I really wanted to go to and which universities I was applying to because I felt I ought to. With Preeti’s help, I looked around the world. I received a number of offers including scholarship opportunities from the University of Hong Kong and IE University. After a lot of consideration (and patience from Preeti), I accepted an offer from the University of Edinburgh where I am now very happy.

Preeti was a great support throughout the entire college search and application process and she worked with me online as we were both travelling through different countries during my whole application process. She is very knowledgeable when it comes to suggesting which universities might be a good fit for you and where in the world. When life circumstances changed during my application process she adapted rapidly and supported me at all times. I started college this Fall (2020) and I must say that I have found a place where I truly belong. I'm incredibly grateful. I cannot recommend her enough!"

I still remember those tough days when I struggled days and nights to write my personal statement and to decide which schools to apply too while studying under the pressures of the International Baccalaureate. Without Preeti, I wouldn’t have made it and come this far. As a counselor, she knew what fit's a student’s unique needs and was able to guide me through the process; she let me know that college isn’t the end goal in life but just the beginning. As a mentor/friend, she was supportive, always being there to go through the ups and downs of rejections and acceptances. I am grateful for having her as my counselor.

My name is Saniya Nasarjung and I'm an undergraduate student at Ashoka University. Ms. Preeti was my guidance counselor for 2 years. One of her strengths is that she gives her students a lot of agency to decide where they want to go, wherein a lot of us can attest that parents' choices can make a difference in this process. I had to make a close call between the US and India after getting the offer letters. While she makes a genuine effort to get to know you as a student and as a person, she will never make a decision for you. Bringing in her expertise, she puts forth the pros and cons for you in order for you to decide based on your experiences and priorities. Because of her friendly demeanor she is approachable to students and parents alike.

Without her guidance, I wouldn't be where I'm right now. My last year of high school was quite chaotic regarding university applications. I was completely lost. I had no idea about universities neither application processes. I used to think my only option to pursue an international education was the US. However, for personal reasons, I was not a big fan of the idea. Luckily for me, Preeti had extensive knowledge about universities outside the global north. She guided me through the application process. I'm now happy with my studies and forever grateful to Preeti for all her support.

​Having been brought up with a clear set of expectations about my higher education and future, I came to Preeti with my list. After 3 months with her, I changed half of it, and in the end, I decided to go to a university that I was only made aware of 3 months prior. It has been one of the most fulfilling and rewarding decisions that I have ever made.

Preeti genuinely cares about getting students to attend the schools that could help them be the best version of themselves without necessarily breaking the bank for it.  With all her expertise and international experience, she is patient, insightful, and very understanding. Despite my initial disagreements with Preeti, if I were to go through it all over again, I would have no one other than Preeti to guide me. Thanks to her, I get to live in one of the most influential cities in the world, meet amazing people, and receive a truly world-class education. For that, I am very grateful.

When it comes to the taxing task of figuring out what comes next following Secondary School, any student would be lucky to have Preeti by their side. As someone who wasn't entirely sure as to what they wanted to study after high-school, Preeti will not only open your eyes to the various possibilities that exist, but also help you figure out which one is the best for you. It is through Preeti that I found out about the college that I now attend, and I can confidently state that I would not be happier elsewhere

Preeti helped me to work through the college application process by listening to what I was looking for academically, financially, and socially. She talked me through all of my options and assisted me in pivoting when I realized that I wanted a different experience than I originally thought. Preeti fundamentally redefined what a ‘university experience’ meant for me. From helping me figure out my academic interests, shortlisting universities around the globe to pushing me to meet deadlines, Preeti had my back through it all. Given how huge a step it is to decide where to attend university for a student and their family, Preeti’s guidance at every step of the process was critical and reassuring. I would not have applied to the university I am attending had it not been for her insight and encouragement.
