Workshop topics for universities

 University of Twente, Netherlands

During the Masterclass on recruiting international students in Pécs in 2024, I attended two workshops given by Preeti: one on the diversity of secondary schools and study programmes, and the other on realistic and sustainable student recruitment. As I had been in my job for less than a year, I knew a little about certain types of schools and programmes, but I quickly discovered that my vision was rather limited and very (Western) Europe-centric. It was an eye-opener to learn more about the different perspectives and opportunities around the world and to better understand how counsellors work and how their role changes depending on the context and country. It also gave me the motivation to better understand different high school study programmes and try to advocate within my university to be more aware and open to new opportunities and less traditional destinations to reach international students. I have also learnt to think more in terms of a ‘multipolar world perspective’ and to adapt my practices accordingly. Above all, I'd like to stress that Preeti was more than just a mentor for our masterclass: she was with us all week, sharing moments, advice and always very open to discussion. She also kept in touch with us afterwards. Her kindness and open-mindedness are truly inspiring

Empowering Universities

At Innustame, we offer tailored workshops to help universities navigate a rapidly evolving global landscape. As the world shifts from Cold War and post-colonial frameworks to a multipolar context, universities must adapt to provide globally relevant education while fostering sustainable student and academic support. Recruitment strategies must evolve to reflect changing student migration patterns, the rise of AI, and the importance of human interactions and relationships.

Our workshops combine traditional and non-traditional approaches, moving beyond Western-centric models to embrace a globally centered perspective. We provide universities with practical tools and insights to enhance recruitment, student success, and engagement. With a focus on current geopolitical shifts and technology’s role, we help institutions stay ahead in delivering relevant, academically rigorous education. Above are the titles and themes of our workshops, designed to empower universities in this transformative era.
